Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo was ruled out of Thursday’s game against the Chicago Bulls game due to an injury. Is he in danger of missing the NBA All-Star Game?

Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo was set to be one of the team captains in the upcoming NBA All-Star Game in Salt Lake City, Utah on Sunday. Just days before the event, could Antetokounmpo miss the festivities?

In Milwaukee’s game against the Chicago Bulls, Antetokounmpo attempted to block a shot by Colby White. As the two tumbled by the stanchion, Antetokounmpo’s right wrist bent awkwardly. The Bucks star held onto his wrist in pain and eventually went to the locker room.

Shortly afterward, the team announced that Antetokounmpo would not return to the game due to what was described as a right wrist sprain.

It was a rough end to Antetokounmpo’s night, as he made history in Chicago. After assisting on a three-point shot by Jevon Carter in the first quarter, Antetokounmpo officially passed Paul Pressey for the most assists in Bucks franchise history with 3,273.

On the night, Antetokounmpo scored two points (one-for-four from field), grabbed seven rebounds, and dished out three assists in nine minutes of playing time.

Entering the Bulls game, Antetokounmpo has averaged 32.5 points, 12.3 rebounds, and 5.5 assists, while shooting 54.0 percent from the field through 46 games played.

The Bucks had an 11-game winning streak entering the game.
