. Cornerback. Arizona Cardinals. Deonte Banks. 34. player. 32

The Arizona Cardinals named Jonathan Gannon their new head coach this past Tuesday, which is a big change from the offensive-minded Kliff Kingsbury. Gannon is fresh off leading a stout Philadelphia defense to the Super Bowl, so it would make sense his first two selections as head coach would come from that side of the ball.

Truth be told, the Cardinals need all the help they can get on defense, so after adding Myles Murphy to the edge in round one, they get secondary help here at pick No. 34 overall. Deonte Banks is a big and physical cornerback who will have no issues adapting to the pro game, even as a rookie.

46. . Offensive Tackle. Indianapolis Colts. Dawand Jones. 35. player

The Indianapolis Colts got their franchise quarterback in the first round, as Ohio State star CJ Stroud fell to them at No. 4 overall. In the second round, they continue to look for talent from Columbus, Ohio, selecting Stroud’s left tackle, Dawand Jones at No. 35 overall.

Jones has had no issues protecting Stroud in the past, and having him in the huddle would enable the young quarterback to feel more comfortable right away at the next level. Jones is also a mountain of a man and has more than enough size and strength to start in Year 1.
