Franmil Reyes, Kansas City Royals

Free-agent slugger Franmil Reyes and the Kansas City Royals agreed to terms on a minor-league contract that includes an invitation to spring training, according to a source. Reyes can earn $2 million if he’s in the majors.

The deal includes $50,000 each for 250, 275, 300, 325, 350, 375 plate appearances and $125,000 each for 400, 500 plate appearances. It also includes three opt-out clauses on March 28, May 15 and June 1.

Matt Moore, Los Angeles Angels

Free-agent reliever Matt Moore and the Los Angeles Angels agreed to a one-year contract, according to a source. Moore received $7.55 million, $3.55 million of which comes as a signing bonus, the source said.

The Angels had been in the market for a left-handed reliever in recent weeks — they also were in on reliever Zack Britton — but ultimately came to terms with Moore. He is coming off a strong season with the Texas Rangers, posting a 1.95 ERA in 74 innings (63 games), and further bolsters their bullpen.
