With WWE Elimination Chamber 2023 in the books, let’s take a look at the confirmed matches and the projected bouts that could take place at WrestleMania 39.

WrestleMania 39 is now in sight for WWE fans. On Saturday, Feb. 18, the WWE held its last premium live event before the “grandest stage of them all,” and that was Elimination Chamber at the Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. And this show painted a clearer picture as to what matches will be taking place at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, Calif. on Apr. 1 and 2.

In the main event, Roman Reigns defended his Undisputed WWE Universal Championship against Sami Zayn, former member of the Bloodline. In front of a raucous crowd in Montreal, Zayn, the hometown hero, proved to be a true challenge to Reigns, nearly beating him on multiple occasions. But, Reigns was victorious after hitting Zayn in the back with a steel chair numerous times, and ended the match with a spear. After the match, Kevin Owens saved Zayn from a beatdown by Reigns and Jimmy Uso.

With Reigns retaining, he is now set to face off against Cody Rhodes, the winner of the Mens’ Royal Rumble match.

To start off the show, an Elimination Chamber match was held to determine who would challenge Raw Women’s champion Bianca Belair at WrestleMania 39. Asuka stood victorious against Liv Morgan, Raquel Gonzalez, Carmella, Natalya, and Nikki Cross to earn her spot at the “showcase of the immortals.” Asuka last eliminated Carmella by submission to clinch the win.

Also during the show, another match was seemingly set for WrestleMania that has yet to be confirmed. In the Elimination Chamber match for the United States championship, Seth Rollins appeared to be on the verge of defeating Austin Theory for the title. However, Logan Paul entered the match and hit Rollins with a Buckshot Lariat. That allowed Theory to hit A-Town Down to retain his championship. It appeared that WWE was heading towards Rollins vs. Paul at WrestleMania, and it’s all but officially confirmed.

Now, let’s take a look at the confirmed matches for WrestleMania 39, while also projecting some other bouts that may end up on the final card.
