Two days after the Elimination Chamber premium live event, here’s what the WrestleMania 39 match card could look like after the Feb. 20 episode of Raw.

Back on Saturday, Feb. 18, WWE held it’s last premium live event before WrestleMania 39, and it was Elimination Chamber. It was a noteworthy event that carried huge implications for the “showcase of the immortals.”

Roman Reigns retained his Undisputed WWE Universal championship by defeating former Bloodline member Sami Zayn in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. With that, Reigns is now set to defend his championship. Additionally, Asuka won an Elimination Chamber match to earn a Raw Women’s championship match against Bianca Belair.

Two days after the event, WWE held their weekly edition of Monday Night Raw. Let’s take a look at what matches were confirmed for WrestleMania, and which were teased.

WWE WrestleMania 39 match card: Confirmed matches

Thus far, there are three matches that are officially confirmed for WrestleMania 39, and they are as follows:

  • Undisputed WWE Universal Championship: Roman Reigns (c) vs. Cody Rhodes
  • SmackDown Women’s Championship: Charlotte Flair (c) vs. Rhea Ripley
  • Raw Women’s Championship: Bianca Belair (c) vs. Asuka

Rhodes and Ripley both won the men’s and women’s Royal Rumble matches back on Jan. 28. A match with Reigns was confirmed, considering that he held the WWE and Universal championships. As for Ripley, she had a choice to challenge for the Raw or SmackDown Women’s championship. Ultimately, on the Jan. 30 episode of Raw, Ripley chose to face Flair, who had defeated her for the NXT championship at WrestleMania 36 in 2020.

As for Asuka, she clinched her match against Belair for the Raw Women’s title after she won an Elimination Chamber match this past Saturday. The two had a stare down on the Feb. 20 episode of Monday Night Raw after defeating Nikki Cross.

Expected WWE WrestleMania 39 match card additions

Now, the matches that are expected to make it onto the WrestleMania 39, based off of what happened on Raw this Monday.

  • Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championships: The Uso’s (Jimmy and Jey Uso) (c) vs. Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens
  • Edge vs. Finn Balor
  • Brock Lesnar vs. Omos (possibly)
  • Seth Rollins vs. Logan Paul

Zayn kicked off the show, where he called his former friend Kevin Owens to the ring, and made an appeal to him to help bring down the Bloodline. Owens, who saved Zayn from a post-match beatdown at Elimination Chamber, said he only did that for revenge for when the Bloodline attacked him after the Royal Rumble main event against Reigns. Owens said that if Zayn wanted help to take down the Bloodline, he should ask Jey Uso for help.

Considering this, it is evident that in the six weeks leading up to the show, it will eventually lead to The Uso’s defending their Undisputed WWE Tag Team championships against Zayn and Owens. Again, there are 11 more televised episodes of Raw and SmackDown to really bring the story together.

On our previous WrestleMania 39 projections, we had other plans listed for Brock Lesnar. But, it appears that WWE has another idea in mind. After getting disqualified against Bobby Lashley at Elimination Chamber, Lashley’s former manager MVP issued a challenge to Lesnar issued a WrestleMania challenge. But it would be against the 7-foot Omos, and MVP demanded Lesnar accept the challenge on the Feb. 27 edition of Raw. It’s unknown if this is the direction for Lesnar at WrestleMania, or a possible ruse.

And possibly the most expected match that has yet to be confirmed yet is Seth Rollins vs. Logan Paul. The rivalry began in the men’s Royal Rumble match when Paul eliminated Rollins. A war of words commenced, and at Elimination Chamber, Paul interfered and cost Rollins a chance to win back the United States championship from Theory.

On Raw, Rollins took out his frustrations on The Miz. Rollins hit three Curb Stomps on The Miz and got the win via referee stoppage.

In the main event of the show, Edge challenged United States champion Austin Theory. “The Rated R Superstar” was near victory, but he was distracted by rival and Judgment Day member Finn Balor. After a kick to the head by Balor, Edge was defeated by Theory, who hit the A-Town Down to retain his championship. After the match, Balor hit three Coup de Graces on Edge, indicating that their lengthy feud is not over just yet, and could come to a close at WrestleMania.
