College Football News: Caleb Williams reveals which NFL team he most wants to play for

In a modern NFL draft world where any team can talk themselves into a quarterback being the “next Patrick Mahomes”, 2022 Heisman Trophy winner Caleb Williams is the closest thing we’ve seen to actually being deserving of that label.

Helming the Lincoln Riley offense at Oklahoma in 2021 and then USC in 2022, Williams checks every box as a quarterback with elite and effortless arm strength, shocking accuracy both on and off platform, terrific athleticism and mobility, and elusiveness that makes him a dynamic presence inside and outside of the pocket.

All signs point to Williams being the No. 1 pick in the 2024 NFL Draft should he declare after his junior season with the Trojans. But which team does he want to play for if he had his pick?

Williams named the Miami Dolphins as his top choice right now with some pretty sound reasoning behind that choice.

“I like to be around younger coaches,” Williams said, via People Magazine. “I’d probably go to the Dolphins. I also would be able to play with Tyreek Hill, Jaylen Waddle, Mike Gesicki. The defense isn’t bad. That’s probably my number one spot.”

The combination of Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel along with the weapons would make for an enticing destination for any talented young quarterback. But would Miami kick the tires on Williams and kick Tua Tagovailoa to the curb if they were in position to do so?
