Lakers injury update: Is LeBron James playing tonight?
Both James and Davis were on the injury list going into Thursday night’s showdown with the Warriors, both dealing with foot issues.
The team announced shortly before tip-off that both stars would be available to play at Crypto.com Arena.
It’s a boost the Lakers need coming out of the ASG break sitting in 13th place in the Western Conference. They are two games back of the 10th-place Oklahoma City Thunder in the final play-in spot.
Head coach Darvin Ham indicated that the plan is to play James and Davis to play extensively down the stretch, per Michael Corvo. That’s assuming they are healthy enough to do so.
The Warriors are in ninth and also looking to improve their standing in the second half of the season. However, Golden State will not have Steph Curry as he continues to rehab his lower leg injury. He is still at least another week out from suiting up.
