The 29-year-old Fernandes hails from Brazil and brings a relatively young professional career into this fight. Her current record is 8-1, but it is the seven-fight win streak that has captured the attention of many heading into this fight.
Fernandes’s career started on the minor regional circuit, but her first breakthrough came in 2021 when she stepped into LFA. It would be here that she’d rattle off four straight wins, with the last two coming via a submission that caught the eye of those within the UFC. Now, Fernandes is set to make her Octagon debut with just under five years of professional experience under her belt.

Fernandes will have to get through Canadian, Jasudavicius in order to keep her momentum going.
Jasudavicius made her way into the UFC via Dana White’s Contender Series, picking up a win against Julia Polastri back in 2021. Jasudavicius is familiar with derailing a young prospect, as she defeated another that many had their eye on back in 2022 when she picked up a decisive victory over Kay Hansen. Coming into the fight at UFC Vegas 70, Jasudavicius boasts a 7-2 professional record with nearly four years of experience to her name.
