Von Miller’s Instagram story adds to speculation on Bills RB trade target
By Josh Wilson
Von Miller’s Instagram story showed him working out with a sought-after Bills target at RB.
It’s speculation season, folks. And Buffalo Bills linebacker Von Miller is giving us a ton of gas to cook with.
Earlier in the week, Jeff Darlington threw out Tennessee Titans running back Derrick Henry as a possible piece to be traded, and even linked the Bills in an appearance on ESPN’s morning show, Get Up!
“You want to trade a guy before it’s too late,” he said, H/T SI. “Maybe they get something. Trade away Derrick Henry to the Buffalo Bills. Just speculating here, but man, that’d be a fun one.”
It would be fun indeed. And perhaps a needed one for Buffalo, who is seeing its leading rusher from 2022, Devin Singletary hit the open market. Singletary will likely have very lucrative offers, and the Bills’ hands are tied due to some important, but pricey extensions and signings they’ve made in previous years.
A trade or savvy low-cost, high-impact signing might be necessary.
As fate would have it, Miller was working out with Henry recently. He posted a video of them on his Instagram Story, and fans screenshot it and publicized it.

Don’t read too far into Von Miller working out with Derrick Henry
This would certainly be something more if Henry were a free agent, but he’s not. So far, all we have to go off of here is Darlington’s speculative idea that maybe the Titans should trade Henry away and him floating out the Bills as an option.
Is Henry working out with Miller something? No, not at this point. The two are clearly friends, but their relationship would do little to get Henry directly to Buffalo. Henry doesn’t have control over where he ends up and a deal would require the Bills’ interest as well as a willingness to surrender the asking price Tennessee wants.
The interest should be a no-brainer. Henry is the league’s leading active rusher in terms of total yards. The only thing you need to be concerned about with him is age and mileage, but he has not decayed in quite the same way other running backs have.
It’s fun to envision these scenarios and possibilities when the offseason is so young, but for now, that’s exactly what this is: A fantasy.
