Jaylen Brown sounds off on ‘disrespectful’ 76ers fans after over-the-line-chant
Boston Celtics star Jaylen Brown didn’t mince words when speaking about sports fans in Philadelphia.
It would have been easy for Jaylen Brown and the Boston Celtics to simply enjoy their thrilling victory over the Philadelphia 76ers.
Brown recorded 26 points, three rebounds, and four assists, while Jayson Tatum dropped 18 points, 13 rebounds, and a game-winning shot in the 110-107 win in the city of Brotherly Love at the Wells Fargo Center.
Brown certainly enjoyed the win, as did his teammates, but the Celtics star provided an interesting nugget that says a lot about the city of Philadelphia and its fans.

"“It got a little bit excessive, where it got a little disrespectful. Even before the game, we was entering the arena. It was people saying ‘I hope you tear your ACL.”"
There’s trash talk, there’s intimidation, and then there’s ignorance, insensitivity, and flat-out idiocy. You cannot say certain things regardless of how passionate you are.
Go at the player, and there’s enough you can say that sticks to the rules but leave their families out of it and never go with an injury wish. This game is how these players make a living, provide for their families, and set themselves up for their futures.
Jaylen Brown sounded off on 76ers fans who crossed the line with a disrespectful comments
This also gives credence to the notion that inappropriate behavior and classless individuals exist all across the NBA as opposed to the stereotypical reaction from keyboard warriors, shock jocks, etc.
Perhaps 76ers fans are still angry over taking Markelle Fultz over Jayson Tatum?
We will never know. For now, the City of Brotherly Love is better off staying quiet and not engaging in this type of behavior. It bit them badly with a loss, but for those fans who acted in such a way, take heed; it’s only a matter of time before admittance to the Wells Fargo Center is prohibited for you.
