More Bracketology updates for Purdue, Arizona, Texas, Rutgers and more

Purdue – After the Boilermakers’ loss to Indiana over the weekend, CBS Sports’ Jerry Palm would’ve dropped Matt Painter’s team from being a 1-seed if Texas or Arizona hadn’t lost over the weekend. Instead, they dropped from the No. 3 to No. 4 overall seed but are on thin ice.

Texas – Speaking of the Longhorns, though they weren’t able to move onto the 1-line in Palm’s projections, Texas is still in a good spot as they stay a No. 2 seed even after the loss to Baylor on Saturday.

Arizona – Arizona was not as fortunate as Texas a loss to bubble team Arizona State pushed them from the 2-line down to the 3-line.

Wisconsin – The loss to Michigan in overtime doesn’t have the Badgers out of the field of 68 but they are dangerously close, being included in Palm’s First Four in the latest projections.

Rutgers – Huge win in a comeback over another bubble team, Penn State, on Sunday for the Scarlet Knights. This gives Rutgers a bit of breathing room as they are in the tournament in the latest Bracketology predictions and don’t fall into the First Four.

Clemson – The Tigers blowing out NC State on Saturday didn’t push them into the field of 68 in the latest Bracketology projections but a win in Charlottesville over Virginia on Tuesday could do a ton of work.
