Ex-New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Bucs quarterback, Tom Brady, wants to pursue stand-up comedy before joining the FOX broadcast team in 2024.

In a stunning turn of events post-retirement, former Super Bowl-winning quarterback Tom Brady wants to make a temporary career change ahead of a $375 million-dollar broadcasting deal with Fox Sports, which is set to begin ahead of the 2024 NFL season.

Brady, who permanently retired after the Tampa Bay Buccaneers lost to the Dallas Cowboys on Super Wild Card Weekend, will look to make the jump to stand-up comedy. According to RadarOnline.com, sources close to the 45-year-old Bay Area native say it’s time for No. 12 to step back before entering the next phase of his life.

“Tom was a terrific quarterback, but he needs to toss this idea before it’s too late,” the statement read.

Tom Brady eyeing stand-up comedy as shocking post-NFL career move

Brady’s comedic routine caught people’s attention after the movie “80 For Brady” was released earlier this year.

“As a comic — he’s strictly a water boy,” the statement continued. “The ladies were super nice to him, and he did a nice job reading professionally written material in a small part — but he’ll be playing in a whole different league if he takes up the stand-up stage.”

Brady’s impression of ex-teammate Rob Gronkowski is nearly spot-on, which is surprising given the duo’s two unique personalities.

While Brady managed to win a Super Bowl title in his first season with the Buccaneers, it is his run as the Patriots’ signal-caller that he’ll be remembered for the most. In his second NFL season, Brady began his quest to become arguably the greatest NFL quarterback, winning three Lombardi Trophies in his first five seasons.

Brady nearly led New England to a perfect 19-0 season but was upended by the New York Giants in the 2008 Super Bowl during the game’s closing minutes.

Nonetheless, Brady’s seven Super Bowl wins is a record that an NFL quarterback may never break, but only time will tell.
