The SEC regular season title is all but locked by Alabama, but Buzz Williams and the Texas A&M Aggies are technically still alive; two games back with two games left. They are the No. 24 team in the country and have a 21-8 (13-3) record after falling to Mississippi State 69-62 on Saturday. After this one, they have a head-to-head with Alabama.

First they have to get past the Ole Miss Rebels who are 11-8 (3-13) and just a game out of last place in the SEC. Here are the odds for the Aggies and Rebels down in Mississippi.

Texas A&M vs. Ole Miss odds, spread and total

Texas A&M vs. Ole Miss prediction and pick

It’s a longshot, like a +1400 longshot, but if the Aggies win this one and Alabama loses to Auburn tonight, then this Saturday at noon, in College Station will be for the regular season SEC title. The Aggies already blew a better opportunity by losing to Mississippi State over the weekend, so I think the look ahead spot has already come and gone.

Ole Miss is coming in riding high after beating LSU to stay out of last place in the conference. Well riding as high as a 3-13 team that’s already fired their coach can. Ole Miss put up 82 points in that win, but I don’t think that’ll be the case tonight. A&M is 69th in opponent points per game and 23rd in opponent field goal percentage, 40.4%. The Rebels are 279th in scoring, 301st in field goal percentage and 351st in three-point shooting.

Wade Taylor had a good offensive showing last time out with 21 points, but he didn’t have much help from his fellow Aggies. Tyrece Radford is their second leading scorer behind Taylor and finished with four points. I think the offense will come back around and they can’t turn the ball over 16 times like they did against Mississippi State. Those aren’t typically big problem areas for this team, so I think they bounce back after getting the look ahead game out of their system.
