NFL Rumors: Lamar Jackson has 1 preferred team to end up with
It most definitely does not sound like the Lamar Jackson situation with the Baltimore Ravens is going well. With the quarterback set to become a free agent in less than two weeks, the expectation is that he’ll be franchise tagged if a deal isn’t reached by then. However, that still doesn’t close down the possibility of a trade.
Teams such as the Atlanta Falcons, New York Jets and a plethora of others have been thrown out as potential landing spots for the former NFL MVP. But one thing that we haven’t heard is where Jackson actually wants to end up. We may have another answer to that now, though.
Appearing on NFL Network at the NFL Combine, Ravens defensive lineman Calais Campbell talked about the quarterback. Campbell quite strongly iterated that Jackson wants to get a deal done with the team that drafted him and where he’s spent his entire young career, that he wants to be in Baltimore.
Calais Campbell on @nflnetwork on Lamar Jackson: “He wants to get a deal done and that’s the most important part. Sometimes guys who are part of a team and don’t want to be there anymore, use (free agency) as an opportunity to go elsewhere. But he wants to be (with the #Ravens).”

Of course, even if he’s not using free agency to get out, if the Ravens don’t meet him at least closely on what the quarterback wants in a contract, then he’ll have to find a new place that he wants to end up at the top of his list. However, Baltimore fans have to feel some comfort that, at least according to one teammate, Lamar Jackson doesn’t want to leave.
