This weekend, the Arnold Palmer Invitational took place in Bay Hill, Florida. Going into the last day, Kurt Kitayama led the field at nine-under. As of this writing, Kitayama is still in the lead with Jordan Spieth behind by just a stroke.

Whether it’s Kitayama, Spieth, or another contender near the top of the field, everyone wants to know how much golfers are taking home with the new and improved payout system the PGA Tour rolled out this season.

The purse for this event is $20 million, in line with the average for regular-season PGA Tour events. As an elevated event, it’s tied for the second-highest payout this year, bested only by The Players Championship. Eight events this season hit the $20 million mark with a similar payout scale as is displayed below.

In addition to the massive prize of $3.6 million, the winner also gets a commemorative red cardigan to honor Palmer, the legendary golfer. They also get 550 FedEx Cup points among other important playing perks.

Next up is THE PLAYERS Championship , which features an even larger, $25 million purse next weekend.
