Bears perfect offseason plan step 3: Trade down again

If the Bears trade down to #2, there will still be many teams interested in moving up. Quarterbacks Anthony Richardson, CJ Stroud, and Will Levis will draw plenty of interest.

The Raiders are one logical option. After moving on from Derek Carr, they need a quarterback, and they have not shied away from making aggressive moves (Davante Adams, Chandler Jones).

In 2021, the San Francisco 49ers gave up three first-round picks to move up for Trey Lance. In this deal, the Raiders match that price:

Overall, trading down twice would net the Bears three first-round picks, one second-round pick, and Brandin Cooks.

With the seventh overall pick, the Bears will still be well-positioned to land one of the top position players in the draft. If three quarterbacks are selected in the top six, one of the following players would still have to be on the board: Will Anderson Jr., Tyree Wilson, Myles Murphy, and Peter Skoronski.
