When is the Big 12 Championship Final?

Just before the NCAA Tournament, conference champions will be determined in tournaments. Here is when the Big 12 Championship Final takes place.
It is officially March Madness season. Of course, the headlining events will be the 68-team men’s and women’s basketball tournaments to determine the winners of their respective National Championships. But first, conference champions need to be determined.
In the Big 12, there will be ten teams vying not just for the conference title, but also an automatic bid into the NCAA Tournament. The top seed in the 2023 tournament will be the Kansas Jayhawks.

When is the 2023 Big 12 Championship Final?
The Big 12 Championship Final will take place on Saturday, March 11 at 6:00 p.m. ET, live from the T-Mobile Center in Kansas City, Mo. Speaking of the T-Mobile Center, that is where every game of the tournament will be taking place.
As for when the tournament officially begins, it will be on Wednesday, March 8. The first round will feature No. 8 West Virginia facing No. 9 Texas Tech and No. 7 Oklahoma State taking on No. 10 Oklahoma.
The top six seeds for the tournament are Kansas (No. 1), Texas (No. 2), Kansas State (No. 3), Baylor (No. 4), Iowa State (No. 5), and TCU (No. 6), all of whom earned a bye to the second round. Here is what the second round matchups will be, which all take place on Thursday, March 9:
- No. 1 Kansas vs. Winner of No. 8 West Virginia/No. 9 Texas Tech
- No. 2 Texas vs. Winner of No. 7 Oklahoma State/No. 10 Oklahoma
- No. 3 Kansas State vs. No. 6 TCU
- No. 4 Baylor vs. No. 5 Iowa State
Last year, Kansas defeated Texas Tech 74-65 to win the Big 12 title and earn a berth in the NCAA Tournament. The Jayhawks made the most of it, as they defeated the North Carolina Tar Heels 72-69 to win the NCAA national championship.
The NCAA Tournament officially begins on March 14 and concludes with the championship game on Apr. 3.
