For those keeping track, the Detroit Lions have a ton of elite draft capital heading into the 2023 NFL Draft, and they already have a solid roster to work with. Detroit would have been a tough out in the NFC Playoffs had they made it last season, as the train was certainly pointed in the right direction.

With so many early picks, Detroit could go several different ways, but our latest mock has them spreading the wealth on both sides of the ball. The first round brought them the best cornerback in this class in Christian Gonzalez, and the best tight end in Michael Mayer, while pick No. 48 lands them an elite edge rusher in Felix Anudike-Uzomah from Kansas State.

The Pittsburgh Steelers currently hold two second-round picks, and after going offensive tackle to start the action on Day 2, they could certainly look at other position groups at No. 49 overall. However, they continue to stack talent in front of Kenny Pickett, showing that they are making a long-term investment in their young signal-caller.

With pick No. 49, the Steelers roll the dice on another young offensive tackle, selecting Darnell Wright from Tennessee. The combination of Wright and Anton Harrison would give the Steelers bookends at the offensive tackle spots for years to come, providing Pickett with stability in two very important spots.
