March Madness Bracket Predictions – West Region Sweet 16

8 Arkansas vs. 4 Connecticut

The talented but inconsistent Razorbacks have put it all together at the right time as they stole a game against Kansas in Des Moines. The youth of Arkansas isn’t quite ready, however, for the physical beating they will take from UConn. Dan Hurley’s team was significantly underseeded according to KenPom, which rates the Huskies as the fourth-best team in the field, and they pummel Arkansas to advance.

Pick: UConn

3 Gonzaga vs. 2 UCLA

This game is a rematch of the 2021 Final Four, when the Bruins gave Gonzaga everything they could handle before getting knocked out on a Jalen Suggs buzzer-beater. Drew Timme is still around for the Bulldogs and their top-flight offense but UCLA’s defense will be more than up to the task of slowing down Gonzaga. The Bruins get their revenge here.

Pick: UCLA

March Madness Bracket Predictions – West Region Elite Eight

4 Connecticut vs. 2 UCLA

This would be an excellent game as these are two of the best teams in the field that got the misfortune of being placed in the same region. The fact that this game is in Las Vegas will give a huge edge to UCLA, which should have the backing of plenty of Bruins fans. Mick Cronin’s team also isn’t afraid of dealing with UCONN’s physicality, giving the Bruins the edge as they return to the Final Four for the second time in three years.

Pick: UCLA
