Opposing Packers players Chicago Bears fans will always hate: Brett Favre
One of the most infamous Bears rivals over their lengthy history, Brett Favre, will forever be disliked by the majority of fans. Hatred is a pretty strong word, but I would venture to guess there are a lot of Chicago fans which choose to strongly dislike Favre.
The thing about Favre, at least from this Bears fan’s perspective, is that he was fairly respectable during the majority of his career. He was the ultimate competitor. He was the ultimate teammate to those in green and gold.
He played the game the way it was meant to be played, and he was good at it. Favre was fearless, tough, gritty and everything you wanted in a quarterback.
But, the problem was, he played for Green Bay, and he went 23-13 against the Bears in 36 career games against his bitter rival. In those games, Favre tossed a grand total of 60 touchdown passes and 42 interceptions. He’d always give you a chance to take advantage of that gunslinger mentality, but Favre also had a knack for winning against Chicago more often than not.
So, Bears fans had just grown tired and grown to hate playing against the guy. He was a great quarterback, but for the love of God, Bears fans absolutely despised playing that man.
