March Madness – The Top Coaches Final Four – Alabama, Houston, UCLA, Michigan State

The true stars in college basketball are the coaches, who stay with their programs long after your favorite player has left for the pro ranks. Having elite tacticians on the sideline in the Final Four can make things exciting since they can bring the best out of their teams in the biggest moments.

Taking the best coach from each region would give us a Final Four of Alabama, Houston, UCLA and Michigan State. Three of these coaches would also be seeking their first national title, adding even more drama to the proceedings.

Houston’s Kelvin Sampson may be the best coach in college basketball without a title and seeing him try to win one in Houston would be phenomenal. Mick Cronin is also underappreciated for his ability to coach and has a championship-worthy roster at UCLA while Nate Oats is rapidly rising up the list of best coaches in the land.

The one coach on this list with a title is Tom Izzo, who is widely respected for his ability to succeed in March and would be entering his ninth Final Four with the Spartans. Izzo has been searching for a second title to elevate him into the upper tier of all-time great coaches so having Michigan State here would be tremendous as well.
