Look for the Philadelphia Eagles to replace Miles Sanders very early on in the 2023 NFL Draft.

After running back Miles Sanders signed with the Carolina Panthers, the Philadelphia Eagles seem to have turned their attention to the 2023 NFL Draft to find his suitable long-term replacement.

Although Eagles general manager Howie Roseman has never drafted a running back in the first-round, Daniel Jeremiah of The NFL Network has the Birds tabbed to take Texas superstar tailback Bijan Robinson at No. 10 overall. Robinson projects as a sure-fire first-rounder and will be the first running back taken. For those who argue No. 10 is way too high, you did not watch Robinson play.

Robinson shared on Instagram that he indeed went to Philadelphia for a pre-draft visit this week.

Keep in mind the Eagles have the New Orleans Saints’ pick at No. 10 this year, so they can get him.

Let’s discuss why Robinson must be on the shortlist of players going to the Eagles in the top 10.

NFL rumors: Texas RB Bijan Robinson could replace Miles Sanders on the Eagles

Although four quarterbacks will probably be going inside of the top 10, we would be foolish to rule out Robinson being the first skill-position player off the board. There will be defensive players going top 10, in addition to the usual offensive linemen. However, the intrigue surrounding one of the four best running backs in Texas history cannot be overlooked. How high could Robinson go?

While I don’t think the Arizona Cardinals would take him at No. 3, I mean, they could trade back to get him. I think you can convince yourself that at least half of the teams picking inside the top 10 could select him. I don’t know if the Seattle Seahawks, the Detroit Lions or the Atlanta Falcons would bite, but I’m not ruling that out. That is why Robinson to the Eagles at No. 10 makes sense.

For those keeping track at home, the Eagles would be replacing Saquon Barkley’s Penn State replacement with a running back prospect who will probably have a better pro career than Barkley. Having Robinson in the same backfield with quarterback Jalen Hurts is a great way for the Birds to be able to defend their NFC crown next season. This would be a terrific landing spot for Robinson.

Admittedly, once you have the idea of him going to Philadelphia your head, it is so difficult to top.
