After all, they are just three games behind the Milwaukee Bucks entering Friday night. This past Wednesday night, the76ers had a scare involving their star and NBA MVP candidate Joel Embiid. Facing off against the Chicago Bulls, Embiid left the game early due to a calf tightness.
On Friday night, the 76ers have a big game, as they continue their road trip to face the Golden State Warriors, the winners of two straight games. This is two days after the aforementioned Bulls game.

Embiid has been in a competition alongside Denver Nuggets center Nikola Jokic for the NBA MVP award. The 76ers star has never won the award in his career, and this season might be his best shot.
Through 59 games played this season, Embiid is averaging 33.2 points (league-high), 10.2 rebounds, 4.2 assists, 1.7 blocks, and 1.1 steals while shooting 54.7-percent from the field.
