Seven-time Super Bowl-winning quarterback Tom Brady recently retired from the NFL after 23 years, and his son looks to be following in his footsteps.

Tom Brady briefly retired only to return for the 2022 season to make another run at a Super Bowl title with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. After their Wild Card Round elimination, Brady opted against testing out free agency and announced his retirement from the NFL “for good.” As if there wasn’t enough proof that he was serious about it, he officially filed his retirement paperwork to receive eligibility for the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

But will this be the last time we see a Brady in the NFL?

In a Vanity Fair interview with Gisele Bundchen, Brady’s ex-wife, it was revealed that 15-year-old Jack is “quarterbacking” and “has aspirations of going to his father’s alma mater, the University of Michigan.” Jack is Brady and actress Bridget Moynahan’s son.

Tom Brady’s son has aspirations of playing football at Michigan

Brady had spoken about Jack playing football as both quarterback and free safety during an episode of the “Let’s Go! Podcast.”

“I think there are very few things in life that I could probably help him with,” said Brady, h/t On3.com. “I don’t have a lot of specialties in life other than probably throwing a football. He’s way smarter. He’s got great work ethic. … But I can definitely help him at quarterback.”

Before Brady became the most successful quarterback in NFL history, he was playing for the Wolverines in college. In his four years playing at Michigan (1996-99), Brady threw for 4,773 yards, 30 touchdowns, and 17 interceptions, while completing 61.9-percent of his passes.

Brady was selected with the 199th overall pick in the 2000 NFL Draft by the New England Patriots. After an injury to Drew Bledsoe early on in the 2001 season, Brady took over, and he never looked back.

After winning six Super Bowl titles with the Patriots, he joined the Buccaneers in 2020 as a free agent. He won the Super Bowl for the seventh-time and brought Tampa Bay their first since the 2002 season. After briefly retiring and returning for 2022, which saw the Buccaneers go 8-9 and lose in the opening round of the playoffs to the Dallas Cowboys, Brady announced that he was ending his playing career.

With this latest revelation from Bundchen’s interview, Michigan fans will be wondering if Jack Brady will be joining the Wolverines football program, much like his father did, in the near future.
