Spurs vs. Warriors prediction and odds for Friday, March 31
By Josh Yourish
A week or two ago, it seemed like the Golden State Warriors desperately needed to flip the switch and play like a championship contender, and on March 20th they just might have.
The defending champs beat Houston that day, and have won four of their last five now, their most recent win coming against New Orleans on Tuesday, 120-109 at home. This run of good play began with the worst team in the Western Conference and now they get to face the second worst, the San Antonio Spurs.
Golden State is 40-37 which is good enough for sixth in the West and they are only a game behind the Clippers for fifth. San Antonio is quite a few games behind the Clippers, and just about every other team in the league at 19-57.
The Warriors are no stranger to being a big favorite in the past several years and tonight against the Spurs is no different.

Spurs vs. Warriors prediction and pick
It’s a full on tankathon in San Antonio. They’ve lost their last five, all by double-digits, and they are understandably huge underdogs.
The Spurs has been good at losing all year long, but they’ve turned it up a notch in March. Sure, they’re 4-10, but they’ve been BAD. They have a -11.6 net rating, which is 29th in the NBA, only the Trail Blazers, who shut down Damian Lillard, have been worse this month. The team’s leading scorer, Keldon Johnson has only played six games this month, but he is probable to go tonight.
If the Warriors were on the road, then I could see them slipping up and losing to an inferior opponent, but the Warriors are 31-8 at home and have a 7.5 net rating in home games which is fifth best in the NBA. Steph Curry is coming off a stellar game in which he dropped 39 points, eight rebounds and eight assists on Tuesday, so let’s back the Warriors to win BIG.
