March Madness’s penultimate game is set. Here’s who will face off as the winners of each side of the bracket on Monday night.

Your bracket has probably been busted for quite some time now, but the college basketball field is set to come to an official close on Monday night in Houston.

March Madness is a spectacle each year, and to be one of the two teams coming out on top of the rest is a massive achievement.

This year’s tournament has been upset-friendly and full of surprises, and the final matchup is equally as unpredictable. Hardly anyone had this as their final matchup prediction.

Who is in the final 2 March Madness?

This year’s NCAA championship will be played between the San Diego State Aztecs and the UConn Huskies.

While UConn has been in the championship game before (and won it four times), San Diego State had never appeared in even the Final Four before this year’s playoffs. They come into the final in dramatic fashion, taking down FAU with a buzzer-beater victory on Saturday night.

UConn most recently won the tournament in 2014, appearing in 6 Final Fours. On the other hand, SDSU has been to the tournament total of just 15 times, dwarfed by Connecticut’s 36 appearances.

Still, in this particular year, both of these teams advancing to the title game is impressive. Connecticut finished ranked 10th in the AP Poll, San Diego at 18. Neither team was supposed to be here, yet they are.
