The March Madness bracket has been played out and we’ve now arrived at the men’s National Championship Game with the UConn Huskies and San Diego State Aztecs squaring off in the March Madness final.
It’s not the matchup many fans were expecting but both teams are wholly deserving. The Huskies have been dominant to this point, winning all five games to this point by double-digits and not looking vulnerable for a second. And hey, they also have Bill Murray along for the ride too, for good measure.
As for San Diego State, this team made its first Final Four in program history to get to this point and then needed a magical buzzer-beater to get past FAU and punch their ticket to this game. Now they’ll try to play their brand of hard-nosed defense to slow the UConn juggernaut.
Even if it’s not the game we expected coming into the 2023 men’s NCAA Tournament, it’s going to be one heck of a men’s National Championship Game. And here’s everything you need to know to watch the March Madness final on Monday night.
March Madness: What channel is the men’s National Championship Game on?
The culmination of the 2022-23 college basketball season with the title game will, as always, be broadcast on CBS. The network television channel will have the legendary Jim Nantz on the call for his final March Madness game along with longtime colleague Bill Raftery and with Grant Hill and Tracy Wolfson as part of the team as well.
UConn vs. SDSU tip time: What time does the men’s National Championship Game start?
The March Madness final is slated for a tip time of 9:20 p.m. ET. With the game being in Houston and, perhaps most importantly, with San Diego State playing, it’s a late tip-off for the national title. However, it will be on its own in terms of the time slot and any major sports competition. However, the official tip could come a few minutes after 9:20 p.m. ET.
