Brooks Koepka returned to dominant major championship form at The Masters in 2023, but has he won at Augusta before and what are his major wins?

One week prior to the start of The Masters, four-time major champion Brooks Koepka captured a victory at the LIV Golf Orlando event, leading many to wonder if “Majors Brooks” was about to make an appearance once again after an injury-related hiatus over the past couple of years. Through the first two rounds, that appears to be exactly the case.

Koepka fired off a 65-67 opening pair of rounds at The Masters to take a two-shot lead into a rainy, cold Saturday at Augusta National Golf Club, paired with Jon Rahm and amateur Sam Bennett for the third round as he tried to hold the 54-hole lead at this vaunted tournament.

His early success and holding the lead, though, had fans asking question about if Koepka has ever won The Masters and what his major championship record looks like.

While he’s in line to do so in 2023 as the 36-hole leader, Brooks Koepka has never won The Masters. However, he has performed quite well at Augusta National in his career with a T2 finish in 2019, a T7 finish in 2020, and a T11 in 2017. Here’s a look at his career timeline of finishes at The Masters.

  • 2015: T33
  • 2016: T21
  • 2017: T11
  • 2018: DNP
  • 2019: T2
  • 2020: T7
  • 2021: Missed Cut
  • 2022: Missed Cut

He missed the cut in 2021 and 2022 as he battled injuries, though, but clearly is healthy and rounding back into form for the 2023 tournament.

Brooks Koepka major championship wins

Though Koepka doesn’t have a win at The Masters, he does have four major championship wins, winning all four in a three-year span, including winning 3-of-10 majors at one points. Here are the major championship wins for Koepka that he has to his credit at this point in his career.

  • 2017 U.S. Open (Erin Hills)
  • 2018 U.S. Open (Shinnecock Hills)
  • 2018 PGA Championship (Bellerive)
  • 2019 PGA Championship (Bethpage Black)

The win at Bethpage Black was wildly impressive, even if he did fade on Sunday with a 2-over final round. He entered Sunday with a 7-shot lead on the field, highlighting how dominant Koepka was in that tournament.

How much did LIV Golf pay Brooks Koepka?

Brooks Koepka was one of the highest-profile signings for LIV Golf at the height of their moves to land top golfers in the world. As such, he was paid somewhere in the range of $100-$150 million to join LIV Golf, per conflicted reports on the actual amount. Even still, we know that it was a nine-figure sum that lured Koepka to the startup golf league.
