Best NBA Prop Bets Today for Timberwolves vs. Lakers (Minnesota “punched” their ticket out of the playoffs)
By Josh Yourish
The Minnesota Timberwolves couldn’t stop throwing punches. Rudy Gobert punched Kyle Anderson then Jaden McDaniels punched a wall, now both are out for the biggest game of their season, Game 1 of the Play-In Tournament in Los Angeles against the Lebron and the Lakers.
The Gobert trade has been a disaster for the Wolves, but this is a matchup that they need him in against Anthony Davis. Plus, McDaniels, their best wing defender could be a little helpful against this guy named Lebron James, I’m not sure if you’ve heard of him.
Let’s get into the prop market and I have a feeling we’re going to back a few Lakers in this one.
Timberwolves vs. Lakers best NBA prop bets
- Anthony Davis over 38.5 points + rebounds (-120)
- Lebron James under 2.5 three-pointers (+105)
- Karl-Anthony Towns over 2.5 turnovers (-130)
Anthony Davis over 38.5 pts+reb (-120)
AD has had his moments where he’s the biggest man on the court and he’s come up really small. This isn’t going to be one of those moments. With no Rudy Gobert or even Naz Reid down low for Minnesota, AD will feast against KAT. AD’s been the best guy on the Lakers all year when he’s healthy and in March he averaged 27.9 and 12.1 rebounds.
Lebron James under 2.5 three-pointers (+105)
This isn’t me fading Lebron at all actually. This is me recognizing that Lebron understands the game of basketball better than maybe any other person who has ever lived. He understands that Minnesota is as thin as thin can get inside, he understands how he can use his size and strength to his advantage and most importantly he understands that KAT constantly gets into foul trouble in big games. He’s ready to pound the ball inside and get to the foul line to thin out an already thin front court.
Karl-Anthony Towns over 2.5 turnovers (-130)
There maybe isn’t any other player in the NBA who’s a worse decision maker in big games than KAT. He averaged 4.5 turnovers a game in the playoffs last season and the only thing that will stop him from getting over 2.5 is if he fouls out too early.
