Jets Draft Picks 2023: Every selection New York has in April
It’s been more than a decade since the New York Jets made a playoff appearance. It’s also been a fascinating offseason for Robert Saleh’s squad.
No NFL team has made more news this offseason than the Green and White. Unfortunately for the New York Jets, they seem to be in a holding pattern in what figures to be the biggest trade of 2023. Quarterback Aaron Rodgers is expected to eventually become a member of Robert Saleh’s club. The 2023 NFL Draft is rapidly approaching.
The franchise is starved for success. The Jets currently own the longest playoff drought in the league. Their last appearance in the postseason came in 2010. Coincidentally, that was the season Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers won their last Super Bowl (XLV).
Jets draft picks 2023
As of this writing, general manager Joe Douglas has six picks at his disposal. However, this could change at any time IF a certain quarterback from Green Bay joins the organization.
- Round 1: 13th overall
- Round 2: 42nd overall
- Round 2: 43rd overall
- Round 3: None
- Round 4: 112nd overall
- Round 5: 143rd overall
- Round 6: 207th overall
- Round 7: None
Now try and keep track with all the wheeling and dealing. They have back-to-back selections in the second round (42 and 43) because they sent wide receiver Elijah Moore and their third-round pick to the Browns for a second-rounder.
Along with the third round, the team does not have a seventh-round choice. That pick went to the Buccaneers along with nose tackle Steve McLendon for a sixth-round choice a year ago.
The Jets have a sixth-round pick, but it is not their own. When it was all said and done, they wound up having to give up a sixth-round pick to the Jaguars for running back James Robinson. However, they do have a sixth-rounder after sending linebacker Blake Cashman to the Houston Texans last year.

- Tackle
- Linebacker
Douglas has done his due diligence during free agency. He added wide receivers Allen Lazard (Packers) and Mecole Hardman (Chiefs) to team with 2022 NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year Garrett Wilson. The Jets also signed interior offensive linemen Wes Schweitzer (Commanders) and Trystan Colon-Castillo (Ravens). However, there is that glaring question mark at left tackle as 2020 first-round pick Mekhi Becton has not played in a game since Week 1 of 2021.
