MLB Insider: Most likely replacements for Oneil Cruz, Michael Harris II
Injuries have once again hit baseball and taken out some of the top players. Here’s how Oneil Cruz and Michael Harris will be replaced.
The baseball season is not even two weeks old, and the injury bug has struck throughout the game. And it’s taken out some of baseball’s most promising young players.
Pittsburgh Pirates infielder Oneil Cruz had surgery to repair a fractured fibula and the organization expects him to return in four months.
Atlanta Braves young outfield phenom Michael Harris II was placed on the Injured List following lower back tightness and it’s unclear when he will return.
And Boston Red Sox outfielder Adam Duvall has a broken wrist and is out for an extended period of time.
MLB rumors: How Braves, Pirates, Red Sox will replace key injured players
The Duvall injury, which I previously covered here, is a massive blow to a Red Sox offense that had been putting together a strong start to the season. Their internal options to replace him, Rob Refsnyder and Raimel Tapia, leave much to be desired. But for now, it’s who the organization is going with.
Who will be Cruz’s replacement in Pittsburgh? Who will be Harris’ replacement in Atlanta? Let’s take a look.
