47. Scouting Report. AFC. East. player. Pick Analysis. New England Patriots. 14

New England Patriots will find a way to marginalize Bijan Robinson’s talent

Over the last three years, the last place I would want to go to as an offensive skill-position player is the New England Patriots. While Mac Jones had a great rookie season, he regressed massively under the guidance of a depleted offensive staff. Although Bill O’Brien’s return could get the Patriots back to good in that department, I don’t trust them to draft well, and you shouldn’t either.

Not to say that it is going to end up this way, but I am getting massive Sony Michel vibes with Robinson going to the Patriots at No. 14. I could have sworn Michel would have been the better pro coming out of Georgia than Nick Chubb, mostly because he was nimbler and not as block-handed. Then again, Chubb is a physical freak and the Patriots have no idea what they are doing.

Ideally, No. 14 is a perfect draft slot for Robinson. He would not be going to a horrendous team. With his exciting brand of football, he could help someone in the Patriots’ class get back into the postseason right away in year one. However, I need to be convinced that the Nick Saban coaching rehabilitation clinic worked on O’Brien before I give him the keys to the Porsche that is Robinson.

As shocking as it seems, everything written above is an indictment of the Patriots losing their way.
