NFL rumors: 3 teams that should try to trade for Saquon Barkley amid Giants issues

Teams that should attempt to trade for Saquon Barkley: New York Jets
Not having to change your home stadium? Nice for Saquon!
A trade is unideal, but if the Giants are forced to move him, getting him out of the conference would be best.
The New York Jets were hooked on Odell Beckham Jr. and appeared to be the runaway front-runners to sign him. Then, they got skirted for the Baltimore Ravens, whose quarterback situation isn’t even locked in (well, to be fair, the Jets isn’t for sure locked in yet, either).
Barkley doesn’t solve the receiver question for New York, but he does bring talent to the Jets that could make Rodgers happy and take some of the pressure off of the 19-year quarterback’s arm.
Much like Etienne with the Jags, Breece Hall got off to a good start in his rookie year, but New York can limit his wear by bringing in a strong lead-back. Additionally, adding Barkley could allow the Jets to use Hall in a screen-pass game more than they did last year. He showed promise, averaging 11.5 yards per reception, fourth among RBs with five targets or more in 2022.
Barkley can own the ground game, while Hall can be the second-in-command there and the lead back in the pass game.
Similar to Denver, there’s lots of pressure here. Assuming New York completes the Aaron Rodgers trade, which seems like it’s a solid assumption at this point, there’s no guarantee they’ll have a window longer than even a year to run at a Super Bowl with him as the leader. Even though Barkley might be just a one-year rental, it’s similar to the calculus with the Beckham move: Offensive weapons to give Rodgers to work with is necessary.
