Atlanta Braves second baseman Ozzie Albies hit his 100th career home run on Tuesday. Take a look at the field-level view of Albies’ huge feat.

The Atlanta Braves dropped three-of-four against the San Diego Padres this past weekend, but they had the opportunity to get right this week, beginning a three-game set against the Cincinnati Reds. After picking up the win in the series-opener, the Braves had the opportunity to build a winning streak on Tuesday night. Not only did the Braves do that, but they got to watch one of their young players accomplish an incredible feat.

In the bottom of the fourth inning, second baseman Ozzie Albies sent a two-run homer to the right field stands at Truist Park to tie the game at 4-4. While it did tie the game and helped contribute to the team’s 7-6 victory, this was also Albies’ 100th home run of his career.

The Braves signed Albies back in 2013 as an international free agent. After spending some time in the minor leagues and becoming one of Atlanta’s top prospects, he made his debut during the 2017 season. In his second campaign with the Braves (2018), Albies made it to the All Star Game for the first time. In 2019, he led the National League in hits (189) and at-bats (640) and won a Silver Slugger. In 2021, Albies made the All-Star Game and won the Silver Slugger for the second time, and won his first-ever World Series title.

So far this season, Albies is slashing .229/.255/.354 while recording two home runs, three runs scored, six RBI, and 11 hits in 12 games.

At 26-years-old and seven years into his MLB career, Albies has 100 home runs to his credit.
