Opposing players Denver Broncos fans will always hate: Joe Flacco

In the words of Johnny Test, didn’t see that one coming. Somehow, someway, Joe Flacco finds himself on this list. It would be easy to mention Travis Kelce or Tyreek Hill, but those are too obvious. We have to look a bit deeper as writers when going into a piece, and in this case, Flacco made sense to get on this list.

The Broncos traded for Flacco before the 2019 season, a disaster. A 3-8 record before giving way to rookie Drew Lock. But despite that, it wasn’t his tenure in Denver that made him hated; it was a moment when Flacco, then a starter in Baltimore, landed him on the list. Go back to the 2013 season when Denver signed Peyton Manning and had the top seed in the playoffs and home-field advantage.

Somehow, Rahim Moore allowed Flacco’s Hail Mary to sail by him before Justin Tucker (then a rookie)’s OT Field Goal sent Baltimore on a roll to the Super Bowl, finishing the career of Ray Lewis in style. Denver realistically had a roster that could get to the Super Bowl that season, but revenge on opening night the next year would have to do. Still, Flacco receives his due as a villain, but one more tops them all.
