RBC Heritage purse 2023: Payout by player, finishing position
By Josh Wilson
Here’s how the RBC Heritage purse will pay out this year by finishing position.
This week’s event on the PGA Tour, the RBC Heritage comes to an end on Sunday. Matt Fitzpatrick shot 8-under on Saturday to take a lead over Patrick Cantlay (by a stroke).
As of publication, Jordan Spieth is just behind Fitzpatrick, taking a one-stroke lead on Cantlay (-13). Other players at 13-under are Sungjae Im (through 8), Scottie Scheffler (through 5) and Jimmy Walker (through 5).
Once the winner and results are final, here’s what each golfer will take home based on where they finish.
RBC heritage purse 2023
The RBC Heritage has a purse of $20 million, one of the most lucrative events on this year’s tour. This event paid a measly $8 million in 2022, so it’s a massive bump-up this year. The reason for the jump is that it’s a designated event that the Tour’s top players must participate in.
A week after the Masters, the PGA Tour making the RBC Heritage a designated event is a somewhat crafty way to mandate the attendance of top players who might otherwise want to kick their feet up after the festivities of the week prior.
