Best MLB parlay picks today (Monday Night deGromination)
By Josh Yourish
The Red Sox and Angels had an early start in Boston this morning, but other than that game, we have 11 others to choose from for our MLB parlay today. We would’ve had 12 if the White Sox and Phillies hadn’t been postponed.
This weekend, I met a guy in a bar who won a 12-leg parlay that somehow only paid out 13-1 odds, so I guess we have to wait until another night to build one of those. Instead, we’ll just do three picks and get a lot better value than he did. Here are my Monday night MLB parlay picks.
It’s not as excited as 13-1, but I feel confident about this +388 payout.

Rangers ML vs. Royals
Marlins ML vs. Giants
Pirates vs. Rockies OVER 11.5
Rangers vs. Royals prediction and pick
It’s still weird to see Jacob deGrom in a Texas Rangers uniform, but what isn’t weird is seeing him dominate. He struggled in his first start, but in his last two he’s gone a combined 13.0 innings and allowed just three earned runs with 20 strikeouts and two walks. He has an expected ERA of 2.19 which is 90th percentile in the league and he’ll dominate the Royals who are 29th in team OPS this year.
Giants vs. Marlins prediction and pick
The Marlins have Jesus Luzardo on the mound who is their young lefty that is turning into a star. He has near 50% whiff rates on two of his breaking pitches and has only allowed four runs over his 18.2 innings this year with 20 strikeouts. He also gets to face the team that is dead last in OPS against left-handed pitching this season.
Pirates vs. Rockies prediction and pick
Rich Hill and Kyle Freeland are the starters in this one and that’s good news if you live in Denver and want to catch a home run ball.
Both allow a fly ball on over 30% of their batted balls this year and Hill has allowed six home runs already this year. Freeland has great numbers with an ERA under one, but he is in the fourth percentile in terms of whiff rate and 36th percentile hard hit percentage. He doesn’t miss bats and gets hit hard and in the air when they do make contact. That’s not a great recipe.
