5. Justin Houston

While he is unsigned as of this writing, it is seemingly only a matter of time before pass-rushing standout Justin Houston latches on with another NFL team.

He spent the past two seasons with the Baltimore Ravens and in 2022, led John Harbaugh’s playoff-bound squad with 9.5 sacks. A third-round pick by the Kansas City Chiefs in 2011, Houston began to come into his own during his second year in the league. In a four-year span from 2012-15, he combined for 50.5 sacks, earned Pro Bowl honors each year and was named All-Pro in 2014 when he led the NFL with 220 quarterback traps.

In eight seasons in Kansas City, there were 78.5 sacks, 14 forced fumbles, four interceptions and eight fumble recoveries.

Houston joined the Indianapolis Colts in 2019 thanks to former Chiefs’ executive Chris Ballard. He proved he could make the transition from linebacker to 4-3 defensive end. He started every game for the club in two seasons and totaled a combined 19.0 sacks.

His career resume with three teams includes 111.5 sacks, 19 forced fumbles, 34 passes defensed, 14 fumble recoveries and five interceptions. Given his play in 2022, Houston has shown no real signs of slowing down.
