Best NBA prop bets today for Heat vs. Bucks Game 2 (Who steps up with Tyler Herro out?)
By Peter Dewey
The Miami Heat stole Game 1 against the Milwaukee Bucks on Sunday, and they’re hoping to extend that lead with Giannis Antetokounmpo (lower back) banged up.
Giannis may play in this game, and if he does I have a player prop that I love for him in this matchup.
For Miami, the loss of Tyler Herro (broken hand) looms large, and the team will have to find someone to replace his production. I’m taking a stab at that in the prop market on an undervalued starter for the Heat.
Heat vs. Bucks best NBA prop bets
- Gabe Vincent OVER 9.5 Points
- Giannis Antetokounmpo OVER 11.5 Rebounds
Gabe Vincent OVER 9.5 Points
Gabe Vincent is going to get all the minutes he can handle in Game 2, especially after he turned in an impressive Game 1 performance.
Vincent is the team’s starting point guard with Kyle Lowry dealing with a knee injury and coming off the bench, and he’s also the team’s best guard defender.
In Game 1, Vincent dropped 15 points, hitting 5-of-6 shots from the field and 4-of-5 shots from 3-point range. I expect him to see a similar role, if not a bigger one in Game 2 with Herro out.
In 12 games without Herro this season, Vincent averaged 15.8 points, 3.7 assists and 2.7 rebounds per game for the Heat, picking up 10 or more points in 10 of those 12 games.
The minutes will be there (33 in Game 1) for Vincent, so I wouldn’t be shocked if he ends up in double figures in this game.
Giannis Antetokounmpo OVER 11.5 Rebounds
If Giannis Antetokounmpo suits up in this game, I love his rebounds prop against a Heat team that has struggled on the glass this season, including a rough performance against the Atlanta Hawks in the play-in when they were outrebounded 63-39.
In his one matchup against Miami where he played the full game this season, Antetokounmpo grabbed 15 rebounds.
He’s averaging 11.8 boards per game and has three in the first quarter before going down with a lower back injury in Game 1.
