Sydney Brown is a perfect Adrian Amos replacement for the Packers

The Packers did make a solid move in free agency with Adrian Amos gone as they signed former 49ers safety Tarvarius Moore. However, that shouldn’t be the end of it as the team is trying to fortify the defense for the long haul. And Sydney Brown could be the perfect answer for the long term and, perhaps, a better option than Moore right away.

Brown is notably undersized at 5-foot-10 but has a nice frame at 211 pounds and has athleticism for days. Moreover, he was a phenomenal coverage player who is able to move down into the box, play deep, come cover in the slot and more. His big weakness is tackling right now but, with his coverage ability, he’s a phenomenal asset to add in the third round.

Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. LB. 4. player. Tulane. Dorian Williams. 49

Green Bay doesn’t have a huge LB need but Dorian Williams can be an X-factor

After taking Quay Walker in the first round last year and with De’Vondre Campbell still playing at a high level since coming to Green Bay, the club isn’t hurting for immediate help at linebacker. Depth, however, is a big issue, so much so that they could very much look to someone like Dorian Williams if he’s there at the start of Day 3.

Another undersized player, Williams won’t tip 230 pounds on the scales. But the Tulane star is an elite coverage linebacker with great movement skills and improvement as a tackler over the past couple of years. As a chess piece to deploy in sub-packages, he could see the field right away and potentially develop into more.

Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. San Jose State. EDGE. Viliami Fehoko. 5. player. 49

Viliami Fehoko is a worthwhile swing for the Green Bay defense to take

Much like. at the inside linebacker spots, the team knows what they have right now on the edge at outside linebacker in the base 3-4 alignment with Rashan Gary and Preston Smith. But once again, the depth at the position is a bit troublesome, especially with Smith looking like he could be gone in the coming years.

That’s where someone like Viliami Fehoko is fascinating. Admittedly, he’s one of my Day 3 draft crushes but he makes a ton of sense here. He has 20 sacks over the past two seasons but has been equally as impressive against the run too. The jump in competition will be something to contend with, but the tools are there for the 6-foot-4, 264-pound pass-rusher.
