Stetson Bennett draft odds and prediction (Will Stetson Bennett be drafted?)

Stetson Bennett is a college football legend, leading the Georgia Bulldogs to back-to-back College Football National Championships. However, he’s not expected to be a factor in the NFL Draft this coming weekend.

Bennett, the 25-year-old prospect, is a coin flip to be drafted at all in the 2023 NFL Draft. After walking on at Georgia, it’s evident that pro evaluators look down upon his size, he stands 5’11”,  in addition to his advanced age already.

It’s a near certainty that if he’s drafted it’ll be in the back half of the draft as there’s limited paths to the Georgia quarterback getting any real chance to be a starting quarterback right away.

Maybe the team wants a veteran in the quarterback room, or wants to drum up some fanfare late in the draft, but it’s clear that the champion is angling towards a third stringer or an undrafted free agent spot on an NFL roster.

To me, I believe that Bennett goes undrafted, which makes sense given the odds, but I do believe that Bennett will find himself quickly on a pro roster as an undrafted free agent, something that has become increasingly popular amongst players going towards the end of the draft in hopes of getting a situation most desirable for them.
