2. Draymond Green

While the three players listed before him are all retired, Draymond Green is still playing in the NBA and making an impact at age 33. While his game certainly has its limitations, he has made a career for himself by being one of the smartest basketball players in the Association.

In his career, Green is a four-time NBA Champion, four-time All-Star, two-time All-NBA selection, and one-time Defensive Player of the Year Award winner. While Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson get all the headlines for their special ability to shoot the ball, Draymond Green has done the dirty work for this time time-and-time again.

Draymond Green has earned himself a bit of a reputation as one of the more passionate players in the league. He is extremely vocal and will never shy away from confrontation. While it has hurt him and the Warriors at times, that edge he plays with is part of why the Warriors are amid a special dynasty.

Warriors head coach, Steve Kerr, recently spoke about Draymond Green’s impact on the Warriors throughout the last decade. In his comments, he alluded to the fact that the Warriors would not have a single championship were it not for the presence of Green. That is noteworthy recognition from an individual who has won 9 combined NBA Championships as both a player and coach.

Posting career averages of 8.7 points, seven rebounds, and 5.6 assists per game, Draymond Green is one of the most well-rounded players in the NBA. Not to mention, he also averages 1.4 steals and 1 block per game throughout a 10-year career, showing his consistent impact on the defensive end of the floor.

Selected by the Warriors in the second round of the 2012 NBA Draft, Draymond Green has most certainly paid dividends. Green can certainly have a case made to claim the No.1 spot on this list if he helps propel the Warriors to a fifth title.
