2023 NFL Draft: Official Draft Week full two-round mock
It is a new era for the Arizona Cardinals, as they have parted ways with Kliff Kingsbury, and will have Jonathan Gannon at the helm as head coach next season. Gannon comes to the Cardinals via the Philadelphia Eagles, where he helped the team to the Super Bowl last season as defensive coordinator, so it makes sense for him to add a defensive player at No. 3 overall.
That defensive player is Will Anderson Jr., widely regarded by most experts as the best overall prospect in this year’s draft class. Anderson is the kind of edge rusher you can build a franchise around and will slide into take the spot of future Hall of Famer, JJ Watt, next season in the desert.
The Indianapolis Colts are another team that turned the page on their head coach this offseason, adding another Philadelphia Eagles assistant in Shane Steichen. Steichen spent last season as the Eagles’ offensive coordinator, and in Indianapolis, he will be tasked with fixing their offensive woes in a hurry.
Luckily for him, the Colts are on the board at No. 4 overall, and a potential franchise quarterback is there for the taking. Anthony Richardson has had an outstanding draft season, and based on his skill level, and football IQ, I do not see how he falls outside of the top-5 later this week.
