2023 NFL Draft odds movement: Will Anderson heavy favorite to go No. 2
By Reed Wallach
It’s been an endless cycle of several prospects being the favorite to go No. 2 overall in the 2023 NFL Draft, currently held by the Houston Texans, and we may be getting an answer as the NFL Draft is just a few hours away.
Will Anderson has become the biggest favorite in this NFL Draft cycle to go No. 2 overall, now as high as -500 at consensus sportsbooks. The Alabama pass rusher has been a contender for the pick, but much of the buzz has surrounded Kentucky quarterback Will Levis and Texas Tech pass rusher Tyree Wilson, but now Anderson has emerged in the final hours.
Here’s the updated betting odds for the No. 2 overall pick:

Will Anderson favored to go No. 2 overall
The Texans have kept this pick close to the vest throughout the process as the team appeared to have Bryce Young atop its board. However, Young is -5000 to go No. 1, leading to rampant speculation as to what the Texans will do with the second pick.
There hasn’t been any confirmation yet, but as final mock drafts are being posted, a community wide sentiment is building that it will be Anderson, including Texas-based NFL Network analyst Lance Zierlien, who mocked the Crimson Tide pass rusher second to Houston.
And maybe Anderson knows something we don’t?
We’ll find out in a few hours.
