Eagles fans will love Micah Parsons pure disdain for Jalen Carter pick

Dallas Cowboys star Micah Parsons wasn’t thrilled that Jalen Carter fell to the Philadelphia Eagles at No. 10 in the NFL Draft.
The Dallas Cowboys and Philadelphia Eagles have been NFL rivals since before I was born. They will be long after I’m gone as well. Last season, Dallas lost out to Philadelphia in the NFC East, and watched as the Eagles won the conference and represented the NFC in the Super Bowl.
Philadelphia added to its arsenal on Thursday night, as they held the No. 10 pick in the NFL Draft. With it, they selected Georgia defensive end Jalen Carter, which some pundits tabbed the best overall talent in this year’s class. Carter fell to No. 10 due to off-field issues.
Micah Parsons of the rival Cowboys watched the selection live. All his could do his hold his head in disbelief, and literally walk off the set.
Micah Parsons can’t believe Eagles got away with Jalen Carter pick
Philly lost several members of its vaunted defensive line this offseason, namely Javon Hargrave. Carter will start from Day 1, potentially in Hargrave’s spot on the defensive line should he earn it. He’s a player-for-player replacement, and on a cheaper contract.
Carter would have been in the conversation for the first-overall pick had he not been involved in a tragic car accident which killed his Georgia teammate and a staffer. While Carter did not cause the crash, he allegedly was street racing said teammate. The case is ongoing.
With Carter in tow, and the Eagles locking down a Jalen Hurts contract extension, it’s been another excellent offseason for Howie Roseman. As for where Philadelphia goes from here, look for them to target other holes on the roster, such as the secondary and inside linebacker.
