Taking a look at the Mexico Open payout distribution for this week at the Vidanta for how much players get from the $7.7 million purse.

The 2023 Mexico Open at Vidanta was on display this week and, while the field was mocked a bit by some golf fans coming into the week, the drama was delivered on the weekend to set up a fantastic finish as Jon Rahm, trying to defend his title at this tournament, made a great effort to try and chase down the leader and other top-ranked player teeing it up this week, Tony Finau.

Rahm entered the weekend well behind Finau after a pedestrian (by his standards) round on Friday. But he more than made up for that by firing off a 10-under 62 on Saturday to put him in the final group. Adding even more intrigue was young Akshay Bhatia being put in the group with the two titans of the PGA Tour for the final round. Brandon Wu was also trying to chase down the lead.

When you have the non-designated events on the PGA Tour, though, this is what you want to see. The big names need to step up and contend while young talents in golf try to crash the party. All told, that’s an ideal setup for a finish in a tournament like this.

At the end of the day, though, every player was working for their share of the $7.7 million purse at Vidanta. So let’s check out the 2023 Mexico Open payout distribution by finishing position for this week.

With this not being an elevated event, the Mexico Open payout is, admittedly, quite modest, especially when it was running opposite of another LIV Golf event. However, in terms of the golf itself, we were treated to a great tournament with all of the players trying to secure a victory, another one in the case of Rahm and Finau, and a first in the case of Wu and Bhatia.
