While the Atlanta Braves are hotter than the sun right now, not everyone is playing great ball.

Until proven otherwise, the Atlanta Braves are 100 percent winning the 2023 World Series, y’all!

I mean, I’d love to actually go to a championship parade in November instead of to a foreign country for a wedding that didn’t make it. These things happen, but I know a good baseball team when I see one. The best part about this team is it isn’t close to being fully healthy. While I do have concerns about the bullpen, this lineup is incendiary and the starting rotation makes me feel good.

Heading into Cinco de Mayo, here are three Braves who are hotter than Hansel right now, as well as one who may need to go into hiding like J.P. Prewitt did and work that graveyard shift, alright.

It is Ronald Acuña Jr.’s baseball world, and we are simply blessed to be living in it

In between rampant injury scares vs. NL East rivals, Ronald Acuña Jr. is playing baseball the way the good lord intended. It is with the exuberance of a child going on adolescence and the joy that’ll make you favorite boomer yell at a cloud until he’s hoarse, or course. Simply, it has been a hoot and a half watching Ronnie Béisbol do Ronnie Béisbol things night in and night out for the Braves.

I don’t know if his five-tool playmaking abilities can be improved upon. The only suggestion I have is to put Bill Walton in the booth for a game the next time the Braves play the Los Angeles Dodgers. I can safely say it brought out the very best in Jason Benetti calling a Chicago White Sox game in Anaheim, and I hope it can do the same for Braves Country’s next star in Brandon Gaudin.

But even if Walton has another show to go to, Acuña is putting on a show every night that continues to take my freaking breath away, Dawg. Whether he is snagging fly balls, stealing bags, hitting moonshots or writhing around in the dirt in pain like a worm on the pavement, I cannot take my eyes off La Bestia. He is probably the best thing that has ever happened to me in my entire life.

Acuña won NL Player of the Month for April, so you know he has been coming in hot already, man.
