Game Of The Week – Minnesota Vikings at Detroit Lions
There is a lot on the line in Week 18 but the biggest stakes will fall in Lions-Vikings. That game, thanks to Minnesota’s win earlier in the season, determines the winner of the NFC North and the final playoff spot in the conference.
This season started out with the Lions, who were chosen to be on the NFL’s Kickoff Game as a sign the league believed they were on the verge of something exciting. The season will fittingly end with Detroit in the spotlight as they beat Minnesota to secure their first division title in 30 years.
The loss is a bitter pill for the Vikings, who get knocked out of the playoffs as a result of the loss. Questions begin to get raised about the future of Kirk Cousins in Minnesota as the Vikings stare ahead at a long offseason.
