PGA Championship Future Locations: Where will it be held in 2024, 2025, 2026 and beyond?

Taking a look at the future PGA Championship locations for the major championship in 2024, 2025, 2026 and beyond that have been announced. 

The 2023 PGA Championship will be held at historic Oak Hill Country Club in Rochester, NY. This will be the fourth time the major championship has been hosted at this venue, the last of which was in 2013 when Jason Dufner become a major winner among the elites in the history of golf.

Even prior to Oak Hill hosting another PGA Championship, though, we’ve seen the tournament hosted by the PGA of America (which is different than the PGA Tour) take golf fans to historic courses but also mixing in some new blood. For instance, the 2022 and 2021 championships were held at Southern Hills in Tulsa, OK and The Ocean Course in Kiawah Island, SC, respectively, but it was at TPC Harding Park in San Francisco the year prior in 2020.

Oak Hill obviously fits into the historic mold for the tournament, but this is a formula that the future PGA Championship locations will also show. So where will the event be held moving forward? Let’s take a look at all of the future locations that have been announced.

Future PGA Championship locations for 2024, 2025, 2026 and beyond

We know that the 2024 PGA Championship next year will return to Valhalla Golf Club in Louisville, KY, the site of one of Rory McIlroy’s major victories. The next year, Quail Hollow Club in Charlotte, NC will play host to the 2025 PGA Championship. And the year after that, the 2026 PGA Championship will be played at Aronimink Golf Club in Newton Square, PA.

In fact, though, the site of the tournament has been announced all the way through 2030 and in 2034 as well. Let’s take a look at all the known future locations:

  • 2024: Valhalla Golf Club – Louisville, KY
  • 2025: Quail Hollow Club – Charlotte, NC
  • 2026: Aronimink Golf Club – Newton Square, PA
  • 2027: PGA Frisco – Frisco, TX
  • 2028: The Olympic Club, Lake Course – San Francisco, CA
  • 2029: Baltusrol Golf Club, Lower Course – Springfield, NJ
  • 2030: Congressional Country Club – Bethesda, MD
  • 2034: PGA Frisco – Frisco, TX

PGA Frisco is obviously a repeat there, but the rest keep up a rota that the PGA of America is clearly trying to build up, somewhat in the mold of the R&A and The Open Championship. Given the strength of these courses, though, it should be an ultimate win for golf fans come major championship season.
