Is Rickie Fowler playing the 2023 PGA Championship?
Rickie Fowler is one of the most popular players in golf, so fans are wondering if he will be playing the 2023 PGA Championship at Oak Hill.
Golf fans love Rickie Fowler. From his days as a shaggy-haired, orange-clad young phenom to his recent struggles, the American has never lost his strong fanbase. So it’s been a treat for those fans that he’s been on his way back to finding his form.
Fowler has gone through numerous swing changes over the years and, frankly, the results have been him plummeting down the world rankings. In fact, he finished the 2022 season outside of the Top 100 in the world. But he’s found his groove again, most recently finishing inside the Top 20 in seven of his last eight tournaments.
Unfortunately, Fowler was unable to parlay his recent run of good play into making it into the field at The Masters. But after he missed the first major of the 2023 season, fans are wondering if he’ll be teeing it up at the 2023 PGA Championship.
Is Rickie Fowler playing the 2023 PGA Championship?
Rejoice, Rickie Fowler is indeed playing the 2023 PGA Championship at Oak Hill Country Club in Rochester, NY. With his T14 finish at the Wells Fargo Championship, he climbed into the Top 50-ranked players in the world and, with his success this season, he qualified by being in the Top 70 on the PGA Tour points list on the year.
Fowler has only played in three majors since the start of the 2021, but the PGA Championship has accounted for two of those major starts, including finishing T8 in 2021 and T23 last year at this tournament.
Given how well he’s played this year, fans will be excited to see how Fowler plays this week at Oak Hill as he could be live to contend.
